End-to-end creative direction, studio photography, and multi-plate compositing for a high-concept shoot centered on a surreal floating hover effect.

Traditional commercial product and lifestyle photography often suffers from predictable staging. The goal for this shoot was to break away from static composition by creating a surreal, zero-gravity narrative where subjects and gear appear effortlessly suspended in mid-air.

Executing a clean hover effect demands meticulous pre-visualization before pressing the shutter. I directed the entire production around a locked-down multi-plate setup—matching camera angles, focal lengths, and lighting grids across base environment plates and subject-supported passes.

During post-production, I isolated elements, eliminated support structures, and hand-built realistic ambient shadows and highlights to ensure the floating assets felt tethered to the physical environment's lighting logic. The resulting series combines technical precision with a high-contrast visual style built to command attention.

I conceptualized, art directed, and executed the production end-to-end using multi-plate capture and precise studio lighting. In post-production, I engineered seamless plate compositing, rigging removal, and custom shadow recreation to build a convincing, surreal levitation effect.
